FOLIAGE DESCRIPTION: Ev. ~ Evergreen Sev. ~ Semi-Evergreen D. ~ Dormant

Throughout most of Canada, all daylily foliage usually dies back in winter so it is unimportant from a design perspective. Foliage type is however, somewhat of an indication of plant hardiness Dormant tending to be the hardiest and Evergreen types the least hardy. There are exceptions to the rule however and there are some very lovely hardy Evergreen daylilies. Our best advice is that you consider all types of foliage but be certain they have been tested for your area.

Dip. ~ Diploid Tet. ~ Tetraploid Fr. ~ Fragrant SP.~ Spider Form DB. ~ Double

BLOOM SEASON: E. ~ Early M. ~ Mid Season L. ~ Late Season

Season of bloom is a relative guide only. It varies across the country and also with exposure in the garden. At ELYSIUM Gardens, our daylilies generally begin to bloom in late June and continue into September.
